Can Walmart gift cards be used at the Walmart pharmacy?

I want to give a giftcard to a freind that could be used for groceries or medication.

Full custody and now the mother wants to fight for custody?

i was married and we ended up getting dicorved and we had a son together, i was granted full custody of the child and now my ex-wife wants to fight for custody. She is moving and says after she has this baby she is going to try and fight for custody. She has no job right now, and when she has one she does not keep it for long. I just want to know what my chances are if she trys to fight for custody? She told me if i took ORS off her back she would then pay me childsupport, but only on a grocery gift card, she would pay half of his medical and dental bills, and any cloths she bought she would keep with her, but only if ORS stopped coming after her, no child should not go without support why wont she understand that. The child is in a good home, i provide everything for the child, i pay for everything. She has not seen him for 4 weeks now cause she has been out of state. Just want some ideas of what i can maybe do.
Well i have been keeping notes on everything, everytime she threatend me and my fiance and all that. I hope that helps. how is the business at your work place?

with the econimy down the tank how’s your work, i mean anybody getting a layoff/let go. i work at a 5 star marriott hotel in the banquet department and i heard business at the marriott i work will be super slow before xmas till around feb. some people are thinking about looking for work some place else even though they been working there over 10 plus yrs. every year there is a time when business is always super slow,but this yr it’s gotten worse. and now the marriott hotel has stopped their 2 free nite stay at any marriott from nov to jan, instead it’s now 50% room rate at any marriott from nov to dec(that means a marriott that is $50 a nite will be $25 and a marriott that is $80 will be $40 a nite. and i have learned that our xmas party has been cancelled b/c of no money. well i am glad about no xmas party b/c i always had to work. for many yrs the xmas party has been held in the bar,but the 2 yrs it’s been helt in the grand ball room. plus the only prizes they gave out were trips to arizona or a grocery gift card. at the hotel i worked at before marriott they gave out trips to mexico/hawaii/ europe ect and that hotel wasnt even rich as the marriott is rich

has anyone heard of or participated in the Chef world prize?

I was contacted by Chef World Inc. and described a prize package I’ve won through an online form. Has anyone else heard of this or received the prize? It is short notice and about a 2 hour drive to claim the prize and I don’t want to waste my time. Apparently, they will demonstrate their products and give a questionairre for their advertising purposes while I claim my prize of a grocery gift card, 3 days/2 nights hotel stay. It would be great if anyone else has been a “winner” and could tell me their experience with this.

i woudlnt do this but everytime im in a grocery store and see the rack with all the gift cards i cant help but think…if you worked there, couldnt you easily take the ones you wanted off the shelf an just activate them for yourself? why couldnt you?

Gift ideas for a struggling college student?

So my parents are once again making me ask for gifts on Christmas rather than just money, even though money would be perfect for a college student. I really feel like I’ve passed the age where I should really be receiving large gifts from my parents that I could really do without, so this time I’d like to focus on things I need. I am a resident adviser, after all, and we make only about $140 every month, so needless to say I have to scrape some days :p So far I’ve asked for a new backpack, since mine is busted, and a gift card to a local grocery store. Do you guys have any other ideas?

A family in my church is going through an extended illness. Etiquette question about giving a monetary gift?

I’m getting ready to send them a “Thinking of You card” and am including a gift card to a local grocery store to help with some of their financial hardship. Should I mention anything in the greeting card about the gift card? I was thinking about writing “I hope this card is helpful” or something like that. I want to be delicate about giving a monetary gift.

we’ve been together 3 months, and it is great.

I’m going to get a GPS for my bf for Christmas, he said he wants it. then he can’t really think of what I want for Christmas. finally he said he’ll take me for a trip on my birthday in March.

I’m fine with the trip but I’d rather have a $100 grocery gift card. I’m out of work and prefer something that’s more “practical” , but I feel bad saying that, it feels like an exchange and I feel cheap and embarrassed.

Why would some retailers want cash for their gift cards?

At walmart I could just throw in a gift card with my groceries and pay the whole thing by credit card.

But at gas stations they will not let you pay for gift cards by credit card.
Anyone have any guesses why?
I imagine it has to do with people stealing credit cards and making fake ID’s and visiting many gas stations and buying gift cards to sell on the streets. That is my only guess.
Thieves know to stay away from stores like walmart since they even have cameras out in their parking lots.

You can buy $150 worth of gas outside on a credit card without an ID, but try to buy a $25 gas gift card and you have to have cash. Explain please.
I never carry cash, and missed out on a quick gift to someone that needed help
