where can I find a recipe box in the South Bay area?

I’m looking for a recipe box as a gift for a bridal shower; the idea being all her friends will fill out a recipe card to give her. The problem is, I can’t find a recipe box. I’ve found one or two but the designs are not her style. (she likes more modern stuff, her kitchen is going to be black and white with red cherries) I would prefer a box to a binder, but at this point, I’m a little desperate. Does anyone in the Torrance/South Bay area know of a place that carries recipe boxes?

I’ve tried Amazon, Hallmark, Target, Papyrus, Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Tuesday Morning, Office Depot, Sur la Table, Borders, Barnes and Noble, and Home Goods. I’m completely out of ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, I’m trying to write a piece in french on my work experience. I have only been a given a sheet with some questions to answer and try to sort of incorporate them into diary form, which is why there is some pretty random stuff in there! For my work experience, I worked in an insurance company.

Tous les jours, je commençais à 9.30 heures et je finis à 4.00 heures.
Every day, I started at 9.30 pm and I finished at 4.00 pm.

J’ai pris mon journal avec moi mais pas de déjeuner parce que je rentrai chez moi pour déjeuner.
I took my diary with me but no lunch because I went home for lunch.

Je marchais au travail parce que ce n’était pas loin de chez moi.
I walked to work because it was not far from home.

Sur de mon premier jour, j’étais un peu nerveux. J’ai rencontré tous les employés et mon superviseur.

There was some banner on a website I was on that said free fitflops from Victoria Secret. I stupidly clicked on the banner thinking it was the Victoria Secret website. It was actually gifthouse.us.com. It said if I said “yes” to receive a free gift or quote from a list of their reputable clients, I would earn rewards. I clicked on Home Depot, put my name, address, phone number and email address. I never got an email from Home Depot, but I’ve been inundated with spams. I even got a phone call from some guy saying I won a sweepstakes and he needed my credit card # to verify my entry. Oh please! I quickly “unsubscribed” from gifthouse.us.com and it said it takes 5-7 days to get me off the list. It took them less than one day to get me on the fricken list. I feel sick to my stomach. What can I do to stop this crap?

Long Story Short, I had a little girl born at 17 weeks and she did not make it.. she died in my arms.

So, What I am doing now is decorating terracotta pots, plaques with my photos, using unfinished wood and baskets to donate to other hospitals, doctors and parents who go through the same thing. It is all donations; I do not keep any for myself. The photos are from my photographic website

I think it is a great project, but I am running out of supplies and would like to know if there is anything you could do to help donate.

Is anyone else perturbed by Spanish-language commercials on television?

Corporate giants have been advertising under the radar on Spanish-language television for years. Coke, Sprint, Ford, etc., tacitly condone the purchase of their products by illegals through this medium and others (heck, Home Depot actually prints “tarjeta de regalo” on its gift cards).

Now I’m starting to see Spanish-language ads on regular T.V. (for example, McDonald’s “me encanta” campaign). Isn’t it time we Americans push back and turn up the heat on these corporations and on our government? Make English the official language and let’s stop fracturing this country.
