Both games are pretty old now and therefore have correspondingly low requirements.

Look out for any laptop that has a dedicated graphics chip, such as ATIs Radeon or Nvidia’s GeForce. Laptops using shared memory and the main CPU for video processing are the ones to avoid, so look out for the names above.

I can’t tell. I don’t know what speakers you have.
Klipsch makes a lot of models.
You could be wasting your money.
Monster is way over priced. I like wire with a high strand count. and oxygen free (it helps the copper from oxidizing).
But 16 Gage is a good start.
I have theater systems with 2 12 Gage pairs to each speaker.
It all depends on the amp and speakers.

Monster is probably the only really well-known brand of quality wire, and it’s good. However, what really matters is gauge. The bigger the wire, the better. I’d say go to Home Depot and get the lowest number (biggest wire) they have off of the bulk wire rolls…certainly nothing smaller than 16 gauge.

The thickness of a wire’s conductive copper bundle is identified by its American Wire Gauge (AWG, or usually just “gauge”) number. The lower the gauge, the thicker the wire, and the better its capacity to pass the amplified audio signal. Most speaker wire available on the market today ranges in thickness from 12 to 16 gauge.

When choosing wire gauge, consider the quality of your components and speakers, the overall sound quality you’re trying to achieve, and the budget you’re working with. Also, keep in mind the distance between your receiver or amp and your speakers — long wire runs can cause significant power losses, and thus require thicker cable.

You can use the following chart as a guideline:

Distance from speaker to amplifier Gauge
Less than 80 feet 16
80 to 200 feet 14
More than 200 feet 12
