What do i get my dad?!?

I have like, zero money, and my dad is always the hardest to shop for. His favorite place is home depot, but my mom already got him every tool known to man, plus gift cards and such. He basically has no interest in anything except home depot. Haha. So any ideas? It needs to be cheap, no clothes or anything, but I guess it has to be kinda random? He is so difficult! Haha.

Ideas? What are you getting your dad? Maybe your ideas will help me.

has anybody EVER won a prize for doing online surveys for some stores?

I started doing online surveys a few months back (Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc) hoping I will “win” something..but I noticed ever since then I get tons of junk mail saying I won a gift card but when I try to claim it they want me to subscribe for other services or take more surveys. it seems like these surveys are scams so that companies can get your info..I guess I will stop doing them from now on..I thought someone outhere actually won something

My Mom was robbed off Craigslist? Can I file a Police report?

My mom is an old sweetheart and she found some guy on Craigslist selling a $450 gift card to Homedepot for only $300. She called and asked if they could meet up at home Depot.

When they were there the man said he was in a hurry and couldn’t go in to verify the amount on the card but said he promised that it was all there.

She went to see how much was in the card and there was only $90.
We have tried calling but, he wont answer and I have left over 6 messages.

If I knew where he lived, I would just go over and beat his @ss but I don’t.
As a last resort I am wondering if I can file a police report and give them the #phone of the man who robbed my mother of $210.00

Is it possible??? Please help!
As a side note, I was never involved in anything that my mother did.

If it was me I would have MADE SURE and I also would have MADE SURE to meet him at his house.

How can you thank your kind neighbors with whom you have nothing in common?

Well, our neighbors came over to introduce themselves & brought us some delicious home baked cookies & freshly made lemonade.
I don’t bake, so I cannot return a favor in that form. Also, I know we will never be best friends (they’re very religious people w children, we’re agnostics without any children), but I think it was very sweet of them & I would like to do something nice for them too.
Is it a bad idea to buy a gift card to one of the local stores every family goes to, e.g Home Depot? Is it too impersonal?
What can I do?

Should i ask for a discount?

I just had a whole lot of trouble purchasing carpet from Home Depot, which currently leaves me with no carpet and furniture, waiting for the carpet I ordered to finally show up. I’m wondering if I should just let it go or demand a future discount or gift card or something.

I recently filled out a couple of surverys online for free gift card. This paticular one was home depot and Macy’s, Maidenform, WaLmart, Starbucks. I didn’t use my home address or give an email address, I used my work info as little as possible. I never received a gift card. However today I received at work a Letter fom Oceanic Trust, Inc. With a large check made out to me from Maidenform, Inc 154 Ave E NJ. the signer on the check has the name of The Vice Chair & CEO of Maidenform I looked it up, It says check is to cover Taxs/ fees for receiving a larger grant that doesn’t have to be paid back. It says the Money for the grant comes from Donors such as the Companys I mentioned above and many more that were on the survey I filled out. It does say that the 4000 check I received today for the Taxes and Fees will be deducted from the finle amount of the grant. The letter however does not say anything about being a Goveronment Grant . Can you Find out if this is a scam? Terri W

If you HAD to spend your tax refund at a store, which store would it be?

And let’s just say your refund is a couple of hundred dollars or even a thousand(we can all dream, right?). And instead of a tax refund check, the IRS sent you a gift card to a store, which store would it be? And why? And what would you buy?

Ours would be at Home Depot. That’s pretty self explanatory.

Do you think this is a good gift or not?

I just got my son’s pictures taken and I was thinking about framing one and giving it to my Mom for Christmas. Plus I want to get her something else too but I can’t find anything in my price range which is low. I have a credit card for Home Depot so I could get her something from there but I don’t really know what they have. I just got the card for my washer and dryer. I wish Christmas was in the middle of January! I’d have so much more money then!
Home depot has things for the home like decor. I could get her some pictures, candles, things like that. Yard decorations, new towels, ect.
